"How much does it cost?" is usually the first question people ask about laser hair removal, and it is a fair one. Laser is an investment, and you deserve clear numbers before you commit. Unfortunately, pricing in the industry can be confusing, with packages, promotions and fine print that make it hard to know what you will actually pay.
This guide lays out our real prices at Balanced Beauty in Vaughan, explains what affects the total cost of a laser series, and shares honest advice on how to budget so there are no surprises. If you want the treatment basics first, start with our complete laser hair removal guide.
Why laser pricing varies so much
Laser hair removal prices depend on a few key factors:
- The size of the area. An upper lip takes minutes. Full legs take much longer and use more of the laser's capacity.
- The number of sessions you need. Most people need 6 to 12 sessions for their best results, depending on hair, skin and hormones.
- Who is performing the treatment. Training, experience and the care taken with settings all matter.
- The equipment and environment. Modern technology, cleanliness and comfort measures are part of the cost.
When one clinic is dramatically cheaper than another, it is worth asking why. Very low prices sometimes mean rushed appointments, generic settings or pressure to buy large, non-refundable packages. The cheapest session is not always the best value if it takes more sessions to get results, or if your skin is not treated carefully.

Full body and unlimited options
- Full Body (Face + Body): $350 per session, about one hour
- One Year Unlimited (Face + Body): $3,199 for twelve months of face and body treatments
Estimating your total cost
To estimate the cost of a full series, multiply the per-session price by the number of sessions you are likely to need. For example:
- Upper lip: 8 sessions at $35 = around $280
- Full face: 8 sessions at $99 = around $792
- Full body: 8 sessions at $350 = around $2,800
These are examples only. Your actual number of sessions depends on your hair colour and thickness, the area, your hormones and how consistently you attend. Hormonally influenced areas like the chin and neck may need more sessions, and occasional maintenance visits after your series are normal. We will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation. Results vary from person to person.
Single areas versus full body
If you only want one or two small areas treated, per-area pricing is usually the best value. For example, someone who only wants their upper lip and chin done will spend far less treating those areas individually.
Once you are treating several areas, though, the numbers change quickly. Underarms, Brazilian and full legs together can add up to close to the cost of a full body session. Our Full Body (Face + Body) session covers everything in one visit, which is often more efficient for clients who want to stop shaving altogether.
A good rule of thumb: if you want three or more medium to large areas, ask us to compare the per-area total with full body. We will show you the math honestly.
When One Year Unlimited makes sense
Our One Year Unlimited (Face + Body) option is designed for clients who want complete freedom to treat any area, as often as their treatment plan recommends, for twelve months. It can make sense if:
- You want full face and body treated
- You expect to need more sessions because of hormonal hair growth
- You want to attend on the ideal schedule without counting sessions
- You like the predictability of one fixed cost
It is not the right choice for everyone. If you only want a few small areas, individual sessions will almost always cost less. We will never push you toward unlimited if it does not fit your needs.
Comparing laser to a lifetime of waxing and shaving
It helps to compare laser to what you are already spending. Consider a client who waxes her legs, underarms and bikini area every four to six weeks. Over a year, that can easily add up to well over a thousand dollars, and it continues every year. Add razors, shaving cream and treatments for ingrown hairs, and the ongoing cost grows.
Laser has a higher cost at the start, but once your series is complete, most clients only need occasional maintenance. Over several years, many find laser costs significantly less than waxing, and it saves hours of time and discomfort.
There is also a value that is harder to put a price on: no more ingrown hairs, no more razor burn, no more growing hair out before an appointment, and no more planning around it.
What is included in your laser appointment
At Balanced Beauty, your per-session price includes:
- An assessment of your skin and hair at each visit
- Customized settings adjusted as your hair thins
- Cooling and comfort measures during treatment
- Aftercare guidance
- Tracking of your progress across your series
Consultations are free. We want you to understand your plan and cost before you start, with no pressure to decide on the spot.
Ways to make laser more affordable
- Start with priority areas. Many clients begin with the area that bothers them most and add others later.
- Keep to your schedule. Missing sessions can mean you need more of them overall.
- Follow pre-care carefully. Shaving properly and avoiding tanning helps every session count.
- Ask about combining areas. Treating several areas in one visit can be more efficient.
- Book a consultation first. A realistic plan prevents buying more than you need.
Red flags to watch for when comparing prices
When researching laser hair removal in Vaughan and the GTA, be cautious of:
- Prices that seem far too low to be sustainable
- Pressure to buy large packages on your first visit
- Non-refundable, non-transferable packages with short expiry dates
- No skin assessment or patch consideration before treatment
- Promises of "100 percent permanent" removal
- Different technicians every visit with no record of your settings
Laser hair removal is a series, not a single appointment. Choose a clinic where you feel comfortable, informed and respected, because you will be visiting several times.
Are there hidden costs?
At Balanced Beauty, the price you see is the price per session for that area. HST applies as required. If you need a touch-up area added, we will tell you the price before we begin. We do not charge for consultations.
The only other cost to consider is good sunscreen. Protecting your skin from UV between sessions is essential for safe, effective treatment, and a quality broad-spectrum SPF is a worthwhile part of your routine anyway.
A sample budget for a full laser series
To make the numbers feel more concrete, here is how a few typical Vaughan clients might plan their budget. These are illustrations, not quotes.
Client A wants to stop threading her upper lip and chin. She treats both areas in one visit at $35 each, every four to six weeks, and expects around eight sessions. Her series lands close to $560, spread over about a year.
Client B wants smooth underarms, bikini and lower legs before summer. She compares the per-area totals with a full body session and finds they are close, so she chooses full body for flexibility.
Client C has hormonal hair growth on the chin and neck and also wants full legs and underarms. Because hormonal areas may need more sessions, the One Year Unlimited option gives her predictable costs and lets her attend on the ideal schedule.
In every case, sessions are paid as you go unless you choose unlimited, so the cost is spread across many months rather than due at once.
